Courage, tenacity, and perseverance are in the DNA of Donia Simmons, Founder, and CEO of One Life Harvest Center. The certified Professional Life Coach and serial entrepreneur has endured her share of tragedy to ultimately land triumphantly on the other side of Cancer, and begin a new chapter in life, as a motivator to women all over the world.

Simmons, a North Carolina rising star, graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan University, and amazing mom of 1 is an inspirational motivational speaker seeking to change the world through her activism and a laser focus on three principles: access to educational tools to build a healthy, holistic life; economic sustainability, and community impact.

She has galvanized her education and experience through participation in:

• Duke University's 2022 Nonprofit Management Certificate Program- Providing  structured and rigorous management skills grounding in the establishment, operation, and continual  navigation of work through the changing environments of nonprofits successfully.
• NC Rural Center's 2022 Rural Economic Development Institute (REDI)- Equipping and supporting the state’s next emerging generation of rural leaders with tools that develop the core of diverse, equitable, inclusive work that connects, informs and  strengthens rural communities.
• Foundation of Health Leadership & Innovation's 2019-2023 Jim Bernstein Community Health Leadership Fellows-  Development of the leadership skills necessary to engage and collaborate with others to improve the health status and economic state  of rural and underserved communities in North Carolina.
• The North Carolina State University’s 2018-19 Leadership Fellows Academy- focusing on peer-to-peer counseling in substance misuse and mental health support, non-profit management, and executive coaching of effective, transformative, adaptive leadership,
• The Down East Partnership for Children 2019 Community Fellows- collaborative program between North Carolina State University and North Carolina A & T State University’s Cooperative Extension focusing on the building/structuring and strengthening of community leaders.
• Authoring the book Courage: Walking Out of Our Cage- Unlocking the Power Within
• Hosting a weekly podcast entitled Br8kthrough and YouTube Channel: Power Unlocked

Guided by her north star of inspiring, empowering, and motivating people, Donia encourages people to live in their purpose by using the keys they have within. She continues to make a difference locally through the S.E.E.D.S. program (Social Equity, Economic Development, and Sustainability) where she teaches participants the laws of sowing and reaping to create the life they deserve, following the words of her favorite scripture, “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 NLT

Donia Simmons is watching her vision come to fruition with the core belief that all begins with your mindset; if you think it, you can do it. She often tells people “Wisdom directs you; peace guides you”. With a huge smile on her face, she encourages people to trust God, work with diligence and consistency while helping others.
